EBNEO is an international non-profit promoting evidence-based neonatal practice.
Both I and my EBNEO colleagues believe strongly in the importance of evidence-based medicine (#neoEBM for those on Twitter).
We've been working on an effort over the last year to better highlight the evidence-base in our field. The effort has culminated in #EBNEOjournalClub, in which we create 10-15 minute videos on topics that span neonatal research and evidence-based medicine.
We just finished on our 5th episode. We have covered non-inferiority trials, GRADE, post-randomization bias, network meta-analyses and prediction models, with accompanying studies on treatment of a patent ductus arteriosus, probiotics, thresholds for red cell transfusion, and prognostic models for infants with hypoxic-ischemic encephalopathy.
